You don’t have to carry this heavy load alone. Compassionate, online support for navigating life’s most difficult chapters.
When you experience a significant loss, it can feel as though your entire world has stopped while everyone else keeps moving forward. You might feel overwhelmed by sadness, numb and disconnected, or even angry and exhausted.
Society often tells us that grief has a timeline or follows neat, predictable stages. The reality is much more complex. Grief comes in waves, and there is no “right” or “wrong” way to mourn. At Blue Mind Mental Health Services, we understand that grief is not a problem to be solved or an illness to be cured—it is a natural response to losing someone or something you deeply care about. We are here to sit with you in the pain, honor your loss, and help you find a way to carry it.
Grief isn’t limited to the death of a loved one. We experience grief whenever a significant attachment is broken. We provide specialized support for:
In our sessions, you will find a warm, non-judgmental space where you can speak openly about your loss without fear of burdening others or being told to “move on.”Our evidence-based approach to grief therapy focuses on:
Q: How long does grief counseling take? A: There is no set timeline for grief, and therefore no set timeline for therapy. Some clients find comfort in a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing, long-term support as they adjust to their new reality. We will work collaboratively to determine what feels right for you.
Q: Will therapy make me forget my loved one? A: Absolutely not. The goal of grief therapy is never to forget or to “get over” your loss. Instead, the goal is to help you integrate the loss into your life so that the pain becomes more manageable, allowing you to remember your loved one with love rather than just sharp pain.
Q: I feel like I should be over this by now. Is something wrong with me? A: There is no expiration date on grief. It is incredibly common for grief to resurface months or even years later after the initial loss, especially around anniversaries, holidays, or major life milestones. You are not doing anything wrong, and therapy can help you navigate these resurgences.
Reaching out for help when you are grieving takes immense courage. We are here to make the process as gentle and supportive as possible.
